Born and raised on the Lower East Side, Jasmin lives in the NYCHA apartment in the Baruch Houses where she grew up, with her Pomeranian, Rocky. Jasmin considers herself a District Kid turned Community Leader. Since the age of 14, she has devoted her life to public service. Her 20+ year history of dedicated service is evidence of her commitment to neighborhood and residential development. Jasmin has played sports since the age of 12. Due to her passion for softball and baseball, she founded a youth league in 2010. She has begun to lay the foundation in the New York City Council District 2 community, starting with her own neighborhood, and continues to seek out and fight for any possible improvements within her district. Yet she recognizes that much work remains. Her vision and passion promises a better future for the generations who will make the New York City Council District 2 their home.
