Michael Beltzer

NY City Council District 18

Michael Beltzer, a social reform advocate and active volunteer, has called District 18 home for 10 years. He is also father to a child who goes to public school, plays in public parks, and walks the same streets as all of us, so it’s no surprise that Michael’s main concern is making his community the safest it can be for everyone. For a decade, he has worked as a community advocate, be it his time on his local Community Board, at the NYPD 43rd Precinct Community Council, volunteering to help clean the Bronx Community District 9, or at many other small community and advocacy groups. You may have encountered him out educating citizens of city services, registering voters, or attending meetings on public issues. With an MBA from Baruch, experience in the Comptroller’s Office, and experience fighting for small businesses at the Bronx Chamber of Commerce, Michael is ready to tackle greater and bigger challenges.
